A Travellerspoint blog

Look ma, I'm famous!

I did a bit of an interview on traveling solo and female and this is featured over at Brian's blog, NoDebtWorldTravel. Go have a read on how I manage to travel solo and still have a good time. I also give a bit of advise to people, but especially women, who want to venture out but feel a partner is needed. No! Enjoy the article and let me know what you thought. You can leave a message on this blog or at Brian's.

Hey, I just read your article on Brian's blog! Really admire the way you've taken the plunge and are really enjoying yourself. Do you speak German? If you do, have you travelled to a country where you didn't speak the language? How did that impact on your travelling experience?

I love to travel solo - there's something about the freedom and the opportunities you don't get when you travel with others... I was on the road for three years on my own, across Africa and Asia, and it was the most empowering thing I've ever done. I've even put together a website (http://www.women-on-the-road.com) for women who travel solo - because our needs and wants are different from those of other travelers. Have a look! And I've subscribed to your blog so I can keep up, too.
