Shitty week lead into good pizza eatin'

I met my friend Nikki at the Stuttgart schlossplatz last Thursday night for a little weekly reprieve. I had a crap week with some issues at work, both here and at home, so meeting up for dinner and drinks was in serious order.

After joining her at the platz, we walked about 10 minutes to a small Italian restuarant, Il Pomodoro, where they specialized in real, authentic and delicious Italian food. People crowd here especially for their real pizza. And, I say real since most of the pizzas available here, at least in this part of Stuttgart, is made out of pita bread. Nothing wrong with that but something authenic was in order.

After ordering our meals, we chowed down and enjoyed our meals. We each ordered a small Pizza Margherita, 1 spezi (I will write about this wonderful invention in another post) and 1 Pellegrino water and the bill only came to 10,80 euro!! Including gratuity. Great pizza, excellent company and low prices. What more can a girl ask for after dealing with bullshit all week long?

Oh, of course we capped off dinner with a night cap at a bar, complete with beer, chatting with locals and laughs. What a great way to lead into an adventurous weekend.
